Looking for an ambitious, motivated, energetic, and talented Natural Hair Stylist to join my team. I’m a small salon located in New Orleans. Stylist must have at least 2 years of experience behind the chair. Current Louisiana State Board License

 

• Motivation to market themselves, the salon, and our products in a courteous, professional manner

 

• Excellent customer service skills

 

• Must be dependable and have good work ethic

 

• Candidate must be a team player with a great positive attitude.

 

Having your own client base is a plus.

Details: 

Provide beauty services, such as shampooing, cutting, coloring, and styling hair, massaging and treating scalp. May also apply makeup, wigs, 

 

Work Activities:

advise clients or customers

apply creativity to art or design work

apply health or sanitation standards

clean rooms or work areas

follow customer instructions

maintain appointment calendar

schedule meetings or appointments

demonstrate goods or services

maintain customer records

 

Details:

Provide beauty services, such as shampooing, cutting, coloring, braiding, weaving, and 

 

Tasks include:

Analyze patrons' hair and other physical features to determine and recommend beauty treatment or suggest hair styles. 

 

Demonstrate and sell hair care products and cosmetics. 

 

Shampoo, rinse, condition and dry hair and scalp or hairpieces with water, liquid soap, or other solutions. 

 

Schedule client appointments. 

 

Cut, trim and shape hair or hairpieces, based on customers' instructions, hair type and facial features, using clippers, scissors, trimmers and razors. 

 

Keep work stations clean and sanitize tools such as scissors and combs. 

 

Comb, brush, and spray hair or wigs to set style. 

 

Develop new styles and techniques. 

 

Bleach, dye, or tint hair, using applicator or brush. 

 

Update and maintain customer information records, such as beauty services provided. 

 

Administer therapeutic medication and advise patron to seek medical treatment for chronic or contagious scalp conditions. 

 

Massage and treat scalp for hygienic and remedial purposes, using hands, fingers

 

Up sell hair care products.

 

Reports to the supervisor/manager of the business.
